Madagascar records her first COVID19 death

Madagascar has just recorded its first coronavirus death, as the world continues to battle the Coronavirus Pandemic.

According to Reuters, the first coronavirus death in Madagascar is a 57-year-old medical worker who was also battling with diabetes and high blood pressure as underlying health issues.

This was confirmed by the spokesman of the COVID-19 task force in the country, Hanta Danielle Vololontiana.
Volontiana said; “A man died from COVID-19 in Madagascar … he is 57 years old and a member of the medical staff.”
 President Andry Rajoelinav of Madagascar had been in the news since April when his country launched an indigenous herbal remedy named Covid-Organics, which he said could “cure” COVID-19.
